In 2010, the Stuart H. Slusher Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded scholarships to 11 Douglas S. Freeman High School seniors who were Stuart Slusher’s classmates — handing out a total of more than $11,000.

*Additional scholarships were awarded because 2010 was the year Stuart would have graduated; because all the candidates were extremely qualified; and because of the tough economic times, the Board decided that, for this year only, we would award scholarships to all who applied. Scholarships totaled $11,500.
